Salary: €135,000 + full relocation allowance
Our client is a high-growth, technology-driven e-commerce company, is looking for a Director Product Marketing focusing on the E-services product line in Europe. As a leader in the product marketing team, you will be engaged in bringing products from conceptualization to market, and evolving existing product lines. In this exciting position you will grow and develop a small team focusing on the optimization and expansion of the product line. You will own the revenue target for this product line and will not only perform directed analysis of this product, but also proactively identify areas of opportunity, defining and implementing test plans, and making recommendations to drive the product strategy.
The successful candidate will be committed to building a comprehensive suite of products that will position the company as the clear leader in the market of customized electronic products for small businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate the North American E-Services team on product definition and requirements, pricing, promotions, content planning, QA, marketing and the development of a testing plan
- Define optimization and merchandising plan to increase take rate and manage churn
- Develop revenue forecasts and business cases for new products/product categories by working with Finance, Capabilities Development and Marketing
- Meet revenue goals for selected products by partnering with the channel managers
- Partner with the Direct Marketing Team to develop promotions, splash pages, offers and functionality that will help them meet their goals; develop a central marketing plan for new products with input from this team and project manage the implementation of this plan
- Conduct market research on new and existing products to drive pricing and functionality decisions, including competitive research, customer surveys, industry research, etc to feed into multi-year line road maps.
- Partner with the Analytics Team to identify ways to increase conversion rate (purchase rate), repeat rate and order values for existing products; develop metrics and manage plans to goal; develop forecasts for initiatives and work with Engineering and Marketing to implement changes and tests
- Manage and develop a team; recruit and grow team as needed to meet product objectives
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree required; preferred majors: Economics, Marketing, Business
- 5-8 years relevant work experience, strong preference for experience in an ecommerce environment.
- Preference for experience with products like hosting, local search, web site building, email marketing etc
- Excellent analytical skills - ability to build excel models to aid in business decision-making
- Ability to derive actionable business insights from quantitative analysis
- Structured, logical thinking even when working in a fast-paced environment under tight timeframes
- Creative problem-solver
- Strong communication skills - both oral and written
- Self-starter with the ability to drive projects from inception to completion
- Excellent people manager that can build and motivate his team and bring them to new heights.
